Special Olympics South Carolina provides training and competition opportunities by way of one of 16 Local Area Programs throughout South Carolina. Under the guidance of an Area Director and Area Committee, the Local Area Program is responsible for the development and implementation of Area and community programs consistent with Special Olympics South Carolina policy. The Local Area Program is, in effect, the community base for all local Special Olympics activities. You can become involved as an athlete or volunteer by contacting one of the Areas nearest you.
